Hummingbird Visit – What A Blessing!
What a wonderful relational world we live in. Encounters of all kinds can add such depth and warmth in your life, especially encounters of the hummingbird kind!
Lisa’s Hummingbird Story
I had the back doors open yesterday. I was in the front of the house
working. I heard a humming and thought it was my dog doing something
silly. It took me several minutes to actually look up. When I did
there was a hummingbird in my front room. Zooming back and forth
looking for a way out. It was so beautiful. I’d never EVER had a
hummingbird come into the house before. What a blessing…
Hummingbird in my house
It can happen. A nice day, leaving the door open to get a little fresh air, and there you have it. Hummingbirds have been known to fly into an open door in search for untapped territory. Some people are lucky enough to have the hummingbird rest on their finger, escorting this precious visitor back outside.
In my personal experience, I spent a few teen summers helping my sister at her fishing resort. Hummingbirds would fly into the boathouse, then try to escape through a window that could not be opened. My solution was catching the hummingbird in a fishing net, then carefully freeing the hummingbird once outside.
Hummingbird visit – what a blessing!
What a great way to describe a hummingbird encounter, “What a blessing!” Seeing something as a blessing, expressing gratitude, feeling the love, these are all things that inspire you to open your heart and let your god-given energy flow. There are so many times in your life when it is safer to keep closed in, and for good reason. What is important is reconnecting to your heart and soul, and your own divine presence.
Thank you, Lisa, for sharing your hummingbird story, your words are so inspirational!
