Spirit Will Always Prevail

William_Jardine_Trochilus_CyaneusLife is filled with a mix of so many experiences. I find myself saddened by many things that have happened in this world, especially those things that have happened by intentional choice, out of greed or selfishness. Don’t we already experience so enough unfortunate events that are outside of our control? Then one day I came to a realization, and found myself lifted from sadness. It came to me with four simple words: “Spirit will always prevail.”

What does this mean, to prevail? It means being stronger than any opposition forces.  Those opposing forces can be intentional, sadly, but that is not what today’s story is about. Today’s story is about those unexplainable hardships that happen in our lives, and how our spirit will embrace and endure. It is about the inner spirit reminding the human side of us how precious it is to live, and that message being echoed by a tiny hummingbird hovering nearby.

A reader’s hummingbird story:

“I am so happy I found this [hummingbirdshaman.com]. It confirms my own encounters with these gorgeous creatures. Before having my two sons (live births) I had 7 miscarriages. It was a hard time. I created a special garden where I buried remains of my angel babies. Years past and I had my two earthly babies and we sold our home. It didn’t hit me until about a week before the move I would be leaving my baby garden behind. I panicked and had a major break down. I didn’t want to leave them. for years I would add something to my garden to remember them. Well while at my garden humming birds used to always come to me and literally stop right in my face. Checking me out lol. I would tell my husband they were crazy! My husband filled a tiny container with soil the day we left from my original baby garden bed. He said we will take it with us and you will find a place for it in a new garden. Almost 3 years had past and we have planted every spring and created a huge garden all around our house but I never felt ready to bury my little container. Until I realized something. Humming birds have suddenly started reappearing in my face lol. My husband got me a lilac bush and he decorated the bed with a large stone…. He didn’t know he was finally creating the right spot but the humming birds told me so. Last night at 10:30 pm it hit me that’s the bed the part of our garden that they belong. I told my husband I have to put them their. He said okay we will do it tomorrow and I said nope… Right now. I’m am so at peace to have “found” my spot and I’m thankful for the beautiful little helpers who showed me it was time.”

Spirit will always prevail

We have so many expressions, uplifting words and exclamations about being strong and taking that next breath. The strongest of us are never strong every moment of every day, life is not meant to be lived in that way. The body human has its highs and lows, its times of stillness and times of action. Our truest strength lives within our souls, the spirit that breaths life into every cell of our body. Spirit is a never-ending force that shows us the importance of every breath we take, how to give what we can and see the beauty in life.

Hummingbirds have been called “what God would look like” in this physical world. It takes more than a hummingbird appearing before you, hovering before your eyes in a way that makes it clear that they are watching you. It also takes a thought, that there might be a message within that magical moment, adding a glimmer of the most beloved spiritual presence to something that might be considered ordinary. It is our own soul saying, “pssst”, allowing our eyes to see in a way that carries us back to the level where God resides. Call it a miracle, and let that miracle exist within your consciousness, without question.

The Blessing of Sharing

Thank you, dear reader, for sharing your hummingbird story and showing my own soul the unwritten and unspoken message so I could translate into words. The strength of your soul shines through. You give such a powerful statement about the nature of spirit, and you hold such a wonderful sacred space for those in your life.

God bless to those souls who were unable to sustain life, while they are not here in the flesh they will always be a part of who you are. Thank you for weaving into your life so many acts that honor spirit and spiritual love. I Love that “right now” decisive action!
