When Hummingbirds Appear

It’s great to hear from readers who want to share their own experiences when hummingbirds appear in their life. These hummingbird experiences are usually repeated, and sometimes patterns are seen in the time of day, or the place where the hummingbirds are seen. What’s even more amazing is the pattern of thought within that person at the time when the hummingbirds appear – this is a part of those hummingbird visits that is nearly impossible to measure, but it can be seen energetically, on a spirit-to-spirit level.

When Hummingbirds Appear

Angela shares:

“For the last few weeks I have been seeing this humming bird, at least I’m pretty sure it’s the same one each time.  It always appears in the morning, three or four time a week, at about the same time, as I am walking to my office from the building across the street.  There are some flowering bushes by the building and it always stops at the same bush and then flys away.  I always see it out of the corner of my right eye at first and it only stays for a few seconds after I stop to look at it.  I have always been facinated by humming birds, and I get the feeling that this one keeps showing up for a reason, but I haven’t figured it out yet.”

Just a day earlier Stephen wrote:

“Ive recently had 2 incidents where a hummingbird came and hovered right near my head i turn to look at it and just stays there looking at me …. im looking at it thinking does he think my head is some type of feeder….. 2 times about 3 weeks apart the most recent was about an hour ago.  If it just came near me and quickly flew away i wouldnt think much of it …but what suprises me is that its not spooked … it stays there for a good amount of time.”

These are two of the recent comments found at popular posting about Hummingbird Encounters and Hidden Meanings.

What does it mean when Hummingbirds appear?

Not everyone sees when there is a hummingbird nearby. I’ve had times on a walk when I’ve tried to point out the nearby hummingbird, only to find that the person I’m walking with simply cannot spot this tiny bird. Spotting a hummingbird in thick foliage can be a challenge, more so than finding Waldo in a busy, brightly colored page.

I’ve wondered myself why it is that the hummingbirds take flight when I am near, hovering above their resting place for a few seconds so I can see them, and then returning to their neatly hidden perch on a branch. Is it a sign? Is there a message, just for me? Why does it happen, time and time again?

These two stories came in nearly back-to-back, and both shared a similar tone. As I read the stories I reflected on my own experiences, and kept my thoughts open to the impressions presented by the soul. Within the stillness, with thoughts suspended for a moment or two, a soft “voice” spoke out about being receptive.

It’s easy for us to be consumed by our busy world, our tasks, even by our thoughts. As much as it seems interactive, our world can also feel at times like a lonely place. What do I mean when I say “lonely”? It’s not so much about physical or even mental loneliness. What I refer to is how vested we are, not just with our time and energy, but also with our heart and soul. It’s possible to feel no sense of connection to the fragmented things that we do, but then it is very possible for us to make the most of every moment, no matter how mundane our tasks can seem. Heart and soul, how hungry do we get sometimes for this piece of the puzzle that is so completely within our control? It can be a lonely world, but only in those times when we are separated from our own experience of the moment.

Hummingbirds – Heart and Soul

Ah, those precious little hummingbirds, drawing another story from me through my receptive, intuitive perceptions. Both of the reader stories above speak softly from that receptive space, the place where heart and soul reach out into the world around them. Certainly there is more to their own individual stories that would be offered during a private intuitive and healing session, more than would be shared in the open space of a posting or a comment, and I am always available for those who want to schedule a one-to-one call for their own in-depth, soul seeing sessions.

For now, we’ll leave it at that. What seemed like a simple message turned into a glimpse at the incredible lightness of being that each of us possesses within ourselves. I’ll admit that this message touches my own heart, reminding me to infuse my joy and love in every moment, even the most mundane or tedious moments of my own life.

Please share your thoughts, stories and comments. Here’s an idea: bookmark this page, share it on your facebook wall or your pinterest page, or send a link via email.

Offer to others your own call-to-action to be open to seeing and recognizing their own “heart and soul moments” in everyday life.

Offer this “inner calling” to yourself, first and foremost, but also to the world around you. You’d be surprised by what might appear in your life, even something as  simple and spectacular as a hummingbird that lingers nearby.
